TimesheetAt the end of the 2008 gardening season, 151 Master Gardeners were active in the Rock Prairie Master Gardener Association; 126 re-certifying and 25 MG-interns.

August 31, 2009: Deadline to complete and report!
  • A minimum of 24 hours of garden-related volunteer service
  • A minimum of 10 hours continuing education
  • $20 dues should be included with your activity reporting sheet for those wanting to continue with the MG program

Activity reporting forms document the type of volunteer work that you do.

Please list your hours accordingly on the sheet:
  • Community education. I taught/explained…. · Answer questions at farm market booth, public speaking, diagnostics, etc.
  • Support services. I helped with…. · Work in a local park, plant sale at Rotary Gardens, etc.
  • Youth education. I taught kids… · First/Third Grade programs at Rotary Botanical Gardens, school gardens, etc.

Accurate reporting of your work is necessary for grants and demonstrating impact of the Master Gardener program. Please contact your horticulture educator or executive committee member if you have any questions or concerns. The Master Gardener program is an affiliate of University of Wisconsin-Extension. As part of this entity, Master Gardeners strive to bring accurate, unbiased, research-based horticulture information into the local communities. UW-Extension is a tax-funded organization; in order to demonstrate the impact of programming locally, your hours are reported annually to stake holders and government officials. The documentation of your work helps with continued funding for local education and research efforts.
